Our new rim brake specific The 45 SL carbon clinchers hit the sweet spot for those looking for a wheel that blends light weight with a significant aerodynamic advantage. They build into a lightweight carbon tubeless-ready wheel set with a modern, 19mm internal rim width. For the rim brake specific The 45 SL design, we of course prioritize the heat dissipation and braking performance at the brake track. Braking is excellent with the HiFi Stellar carbon brake pads, as well as other popular aftermarket carbon pads. But The 45 SLs aren't about slowing down; they're about cranking up the pace! The light weight, mid-depth carbon rims spin up to speed super quickly and their aerodynamics will help you stay there with less effort. This makes them ideal for all road rides and races, as well as for gravel rides at higher speeds, where aerodynamics play more of a factor. Thanks to HiFi's Anti-Flutter technology and toroidal rim shape, crosswinds have less of an impact, and you'll be even faster at a larger range of wind yaw angles. The high-grade carbon fiber we use is stiff for accelerations but is also good at dampening bumps and chatter.

The 45 SL Anti-Flutter wheel sets spin on the latest iteration of our Fidelity R36SL non-disc hubs, which use a 4-pawl system engaging with a 36-tooth ring. The R36SL hubs offer quick and reliable engagement, light weight, and dependability. They're also easy to service should the need arise, with bearings that are easy to access and no proprietary tools required. We lace up The 45s with top-tier Sapim CX-Ray bladed spokes for their ideal blend of lightweight, aerodynamics, high strength, and sublime ride quality.

Rim depth: 45mm tubeless ready carbon clincher

Rim width: 25mm at tire interface, with a toroidal Anti-Flutter profile. 19mm internal width.

Hubs: HiFi Fidelity Fidelity R36SL straight pull non-disc hubs with a 24h (2:1) rear. Japanese stainless steel cartridge bearings. Durable, dependable, and light.

Freehub: Shimano/SRAM; Campagnolo; SRAM XD / XDR Drivers; Microspline all available.

Spokes: SL sets have 18h / 24h 2:1 ratio rear (16 2x on Drive Side, 8 straight pull radial on Non-Drive Side). We lace them up with top-tier Sapim CX-Ray spokes for their ideal blend of lightweight, high strength, and sublime ride quality.

Wheel Weight: 1410g

Discipline: The 45 SLs are excellent for criteriums, road races of all types, and faster-paced gravel outings. They also make great front wheels for triathlons and time trials.

Notes: Tubeless tape, valves, HiFi Stellar carbon brake pads and quick release skewers included. Freehubs installed to match your requirements.

Tire choice: Our wider The 45 SL rims, with a modern 19mm internal rim width, require a 23mm or wider road tire (we recommend 25mm and up).
